  • I met one the neighbours of unit 2 as I arrived and they were a nice youngish professional looking couple.

  • The house itself has been newly bought by the landlord. They have replaced all the flooring with new carpet and floorboard style laminate. They have also painted the house and installed ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room.

  • The bathroom and kitchen were not renovated but the cabinetry and appliances were in ok, slightly worn condition but clean.

  • The landlord will be installing a new air conditioner in the property in a few months time.

  • The property was obviously quite bare but I feel once your furniture is in and it is decorated it could be as nice as the Lincoln Rd property.

  • The property manager as I mentioned as a husband who has been a correctional officer for 7 years so she's very keen to see your application.

  • Well located in Croydon just 5 minutes drive from the main shopping strip and 800m walk from Melba College. Croydon library is located near the shops and would be about a 2.5km walk away.
  • The house is at the front of a block of 4 units that all look very well maintained and looked after. It also has its own front leafy garden which combined with the shutters provides good privacy.
  • There are two automatic roller shutters that lead to a double car garage. This was a great size and will allow plenty of room for storage. You could also leave the rear roller door to it open to let the dogs have more space if you aren't using both parks.
  • There is one bedroom at the front of the house and 2 to the rear. If you are a light sleeper we suggest using these as there may be some traffic noise overnight.
  • The rear courtyard requires little to no maintenance and has a good sized pergola for outdoor entertaining plus some small gardens beds.
  • Overall the unit was is very good condition as it has been lived in by the owner who is now renting it out. They were yet to steam clean the carpets though so there were some light markings on them and some of their belongings were still present which you will see in the video.
  • As they have had their dog living there they are happy to consider your application with pets which is fantastic.
  • The unit is available to rent now however, they are looking for the right long term tenant so I think it would be worthwhile submitting your application with a start date in mid January. I have also explained that you will be using a Centrelink bond which they are fine with.
