Why should I use Melbourne Rental Search to find my new property?

Day in, day out, everything we do revolves around Melbourne rentals and when you spend all this time searching, inspecting and negotiating for properties you get very good at it! We have also had a substantial amount of time working and training on the landlord side in our previous jobs so we know all the tips and tricks to securing rentals.  Unfortunately, the average renter simply does not have the experience, contacts and tools that we do to quickly secure the best property at the best price.

Additionally, you need to keep in mind that landlords never go unrepresented. They use managing agents to advise on all things leasing so they already have an expert on their side!

At the end of the day, you can do anything yourself. You can represent yourself in court but you are unlikely to get the same result that a lawyer trained in that field could achieve for you.  We are no different, we are trained professionals that will save you time and money.

Who do you find rentals for?

In short, everyone! Finding a rental in Melbourne can be an incredibly time consuming and frustrating process with additional complications if you are coming from overseas or interstate. If you would like to spend more time enjoying your new home than searching for it than we can certainly help!

Do you lease or manage any residential properties yourself?

No. Unlike many other companies we only represent tenants so we don’t lease or manage any properties for landlords. This means we are completely independent and can source rentals from every single real estate agency in Melbourne.  We are also often approached by agencies with properties that aren’t even on the market!

What suburbs of Melbourne do you work in and what rental budgets do you cater for?

We work all over Melbourne and will be able to provide you with brilliant non-biased advice on the most suitable suburbs and properties for your new home.

In terms of rental budgets, we tend to work with clients that are looking to rent properties that cost anywhere from $400 per week upwards.

How long will it take to find my new rental?

For the One Off Inspection we recommend getting in touch as soon as you find the particular property you like.  This ensures we can schedule in to visit the property during one of the first open for inspections generally held on a week day.  This helps give you an edge as most people go to inspections on a weekend so if you like the video and report we send through, you can apply before anyone else does – a HUGE advantage!

For the Executive Package we recommend touching base about 6 weeks before you need your new rental.  This gives us time to discuss all your requirements and help pull together your application.  That said, we understand that due to unforeseen circumstances sometimes people have less time than this so we can work to smaller timeframes.

What happens if I exceed the number of inspections in my package and would like to see more properties before making a decision?

Whilst it is extremely rare that our clients exceed the number of inspections allocated in the Executive and Relocation packages without securing a property, additional inspections can be purchased at a discounted rate of $140 per additional inspection you require. This will simply be invoiced at the time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We use Pin Payments for our transactions which allows you to pay online securely via our website using your credit card.  It accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express etc.  It also automatically calculates conversions so if you are coming from another country you can pay in your own currency.

We are also happy to accept bank cheques and direct bank transfer deposits.  Please advise us when you engage our services if you plan on paying with one of these methods.

Can I buy a package for my daughter/son/relative?

Absolutely! We've had many people buy packages for loved ones and it can be a great way to ensure peace of mind if it's your son/daughter's first time out of home. We just ask that once payment is made that the person who will be residing in the property is our primary contact. We are happy to include you on any correspondence if you would like.
